Thousands of Twitter users are slamming the New York Times for publishing an op-ed that criticizes women who wear yoga pants. Writer Honor Jones claimed the only reason women wear yoga pants is because they are 'sexy' — which many women disagreed with. Several found the piece misogynistic and claimed that this kind of thinking is actually what is bad for women. Jones begins by writing about going to the gym and noticing that 'every woman in there was wearing skintight, Saran-wrap-thin yoga pants'. She herself was wearing sweatpants, and insists that 'a few woman gave me funny looks' when she stepped onto an elliptical in them.
